Chapter 1 How Michael Bloodstone Becomes A Witch

 

 

       Michael Bloodstone is twelve years old and has just been in Trump Junior High for two

 days.  When he got off the bus one day, the bus hit him in the head, throwing him three feet in the 

air, and straight into the window of the bus.  His familiar was frightened as she saw blood go 

everywhere, and Michael had somehow, or other, gained magical powers, halting time to almost a 

stop. Yet his familiar (IVORY) was able to sprint three blocks to the Bloodstone home, where Michael 

lived.  It was there that she was greeted by the Bloodstones, who were shocked at her not taking the 

form of a dog.

        So Ivory quickly explains her form and what had happened to Michael.  After the explanation is 

given, the three of them magically appear on the scene in Michael's Grandfather's magical jeep.

Once there they remove Michael's body as they open up another portal, sending him to another world, 

and sending him to the Bloodstone, where they would do intensive work on him.  When asked for 

Michael's  birthmother, his mother said, "It is I, Rosetta Bloodstone, but I would rather not give the 

name of the father."

            To which, Michael's Grandfather explained, "Little is really known about the chap."

            The administrator just pressed on with her horn-rimmed glasses down her nose, and said,

"Even if the child is illegitimate, you must know the father's name."

             Out of exhaustion, Rosetta speaks up out of tears.  "Oh, Dad, why try keeping the family secret 

anymore?   He is Prince Baltimore Darwin's son."

            After that statement, the administrator takes a closer look at what could be seen of his ivory 

white face, and eery oval green-looking eyes.  She then stated, "Why yes, I can see the resemblance,

but I must make a call into the Prince and see what he wants done if anything. 

            

              Prince Baltimore Darwin came in warmly greeting the Bloodstones, and even more so to 

Rosetta.  While he agreed that Michael was the spitting image of him, he still wanted a paternity test to

be done.  Which the Prince, with all his riches, paid for.  The results, of course, showed that the Prince

 was the father of  Michael Bloodstone  

            The Prince wanted to know how long she had known this.   Rosetta told him that,

        " he was her one and only  that none other could be her love, for he was her true lover." 

           The temperature in the room got a little warmer between the two of them as Michael started 

going into a seizure.  Doctor Dolittle steps into the room and says, "We will have none of  those

epilepticus be gone, scattle de dattle now!" 

          Would you believe that those seizures flew out the window and into a flock of seagulls?  Yet 

Michael lay deep in a coma for a week.  Ivory did not know what to do, for she could not hop up on the 

bed with him, but as a familiar, she was always supposed to stay by his side.  All Ivory could do was lie 

by his bed and cry, 

           After about a week, Michael began to wake up.  He could stand up and walk a little, yet he 

needed help as he had not used his muscles in a week.  Three of his helpers he knew, they were:

Grandfather, Mother, and Ivory, but the fourth person he did not know.  He was kind of uneasy about

 the fourth person giving him aid, and did not know if he really wanted to know who he was.  He also 

noticed this fourth person only appeared when Grandpa disappeared.

          One day, when alone with Ivory, Michael asked her as to whom this fourth person was.  Ivory

 told him the man was Prince Baltimore Darwin.  Ivory went on to say, " He is a very special man to 

your Mother, and will probably be part of your life someday too."   

        Ivory was talking of the unknown, which frightened Michael somewhat, and he let her know that.

He slapped Ivory on the nose and said, "You're speaking of the unknown, and you know that frightens

me." 

        At which time Prince Darwin came in with a purple teddy bear to give to Michael.  When the

 Prince saw how frightened Michael was he came to his side to see what was frightening him.  Michael

explained to him the story that Ivory had just told him, and it sounded like the unknown that 

frightens Michael so much.  The prince just explained to him that the world is full of unknowns, and

 that is how we have explanations.   Someone just goes out there and explains the unknown.  Michael 

accepted that as he drifted off to sleep.  

      As Michael slept, his Biological Father, Mother, and Ivory had a chat about Michael.  They felt that 

with Michael's powers best to leave him in the other world, and placed him in the Darwin Magical 

School. If this were done, however,  they would have to leave Ivory with him.  For every witch would 

need their familiar, which they would be trained in school how to work with one another.

        Michael wakes up in a private room with a young teenage centaur with a ponytail in his head.

The Centaur said, "You finally awake, dude?  Want ta go down to the cafeteria to grab a bite to eat?"

         As Michael noticed himself levitating to the bathroom, he wanted to know who or what was 

talking to him.  So the Centaur apologized for not introducing himself, he told him, "I am a nine-year-

old Centaur, and his daddy (the prince) bought him to be Michael's butler.

        " So, shall we go get some grub to eat," the Centaur said, "My name is Peter Alexander, and I am 

sure your familiar is hungry too."

      So Michael and Ivory get on Peter's back, and they ride down to the Cafeteria.  This is where our 

three young friends have brunch. An odd occurrence happens as people stop and gawk at Michael.  

Who gets upset with them and tells them to take a picture, it'll last longer.  Before Peter can do 

anything, photographers start taking pictures.

           The three finish eating brunch, and Michael says, "That was weird."

            Peter replies,  "Get used to it, you come from two royal bloodlines.  Your maternal one is 

the Bloodstones, and your paternal one is the Darwins.  You are an heir on the Darwin side." 

               Michael didn't know anything of the Darwins of which he was said to be heir. He just knew 

they were wealthy people; the school was named after them.  He also knew that the hospital was named 

after the Bloodstones, but did that make his grandfather a witchdoctor?  Michael rode on Peter's back to 

home in a fury.

               Michael started to cry as magical powers burst out.  Peter thought he should report it, but no 

big deal was made out of it.  It was just uncontrolable magicle powers.  When he felt better, he would

begin school, and these things would straighten themselves out.  Until then, it would just be the three of

them to make it through the day.
