Chapter 8:A New Familiar

    

       On the next day, Prince Michael, found himself questioning how he would ever come upon a 

familiar.  So, he went to ask his parents how he might find one.  He went as far as to tell them of the 

oath he had made to the Troubled Youth.  Both of his parents thought he had acted foolishly, but helped 

him nonetheless.  Lord Baltimore assured him, "that there are few who become familiars due to 

committing a crime." 

       His Mother then stated, "Most familiars come to be through a deep spiritual bond, often being 

shown through active meditation, spells, and focused intentions.  Now in your case I would find out

if the Troubled Youth had made a spiritual bond with any animal.  If not had they seen one while asleep

or in a deep trance.  If they do, find an animal fitting it's description and cast a spell on it."

       Michael turned to Ivory to ask if that sounded correct to her.  He then corrected himself, and said,

"Is that how you came to be?"

         Ivory replied, "I do not rightly recall, to my recollection I've always been as I am today.  I suppose

I have a beginning, but I remember it not.  Do you recall your beginning?  I bet you don't, but you 

know you have one.  Now hurry, and do as your mother advised you."

        Prince Michael went to the Troubled Youth's house.  The Prince knocked on the Troubled Youth's

door, and the Troubled Youth soon answered the door.  The Troubled Youth greatfully let the Prince and

Ivory in the house asking where it's familiar was. The Prince told the Troubled Youth he had some 

questions to ask them first.  The Prince then said,  "Have you had any deep bonds with any animals

reacently?"

      The Troubled Youth said, "I go to the School of the Wildwoods, so I have many animal friends.  

The deer, rabbit, robbin, bluejay, squirrel ,  wolf..."

      Prince Michael interupted the Troubled Youth and said, "That is all fine and good, but a familiar

is like a spirit animal or a totem animal.   So, having said that have you made a spiritual bond with an

animal."

      The Troubled Youth just hung their head, and said, "I am not sure what a spiritual bond is."

      Ivory started getting impatiant and started growling, to which Michael just scoalded her and

said."Shhhh girl".

    He then asked the Troubled Youth "If they spent any time in meditation?  If  so did any animal

ever come to mind?  Did an animal ever come to them physicaly?"

     The Troubled Youth laughed, and said, "Every witch child is taught to meditate from their youth.

Both the deer and wolf  have come to me during meditation.  Only the deer has came to me physically 

though.

      Ivory and Michael loooked at one another and said "aha two spirit animals. with one animal guide.

Let's go get your animal guide represenative, and cast a spell on them to make it your familiar."

      The three of them run into the woods to find a represenative to be the Troubled Youth's familiar.

They found a young deer by the rivers of the waters. The Prince and Ivory look at the Troubled 

Youth for it's permission, and it just nodded its head yes.  So Prince Michael then said, "Mix life, live a

life, from animal to human, be one to serve the Troubled Youth for life, for life to serve for ever more."

         The deer by the rivers of waters picked up its head and said, "Happy Birthday, I belong to you, 

Terry."

          The deer told all that it's name was Reed Waters.  Reed then went over and stood by Terry.  Terry

thanked the prince as Terry and the deer ran off gleefuly.  Ivory said to the Prince, "now there goes a 

happy couple."

           The Prince told her, "They are not as happy as you and I are"

           Ivory said,"You are getting frisky with a dog.  I believe they call that puppy love.  Dont worry

you will find someone some day to be your true love."

           The Prince just shook his head, and  said, "some day may come with much caution".

           Ivory turns to him and gives him a lick.  She then says,  "Don't worry be happy, you are only 

close to sixteen, and first love is a beautiful thing.  Play the field, as prince you could have any one you

want."
