Difficulties-Problems or Opportunities

       Count your troubles as joys, for they give you an opportunity to preach Christ crucified.  An  example of this is found in Acts 5:40-42: "And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the  apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of  Jesus, and let  them go.  So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were worthy to suffer  shame for His name.  And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and  preaching Jesus as the Christ.  Being beaten was the apostles' troubles; we find it caused them to not  cease preaching Christ as their opportunity.            In Acts 16:25-34, it tells how Paul and Silas were in jail (that is their trouble), and they praised  God, and were released.  In the long run, they saved the jailor as well as the jailor's whole household, which was t...

The Gospels

             It has been brought to my attention that not everyone in the world has a Bible.  I have just  recently finished reading the four gospels.  While they all basically report about Christ's life & times as  well as  His death & resurrection.  They are also different in other ways.        Matthew was an apostle of Christ, as well as being a tax collector.  Not much is really known about  Mark, other than that, he was an early-day Christian, and a Servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus  Christ.   Luke was a physician who wrote two letters to a man named Theophilos.  The first letter was about Christ, entitled Luke, the second being about the church, entitled Acts.  Then there was John,  who focused his book, as well as I, II, &III John, on the love of  God.
