Difficulties-Problems or Opportunities

Count your troubles as joys, for they give you an opportunity to preach Christ crucified.  An

example of this is found in Acts 5:40-42: "And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the

apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of  Jesus, and let

them go.  So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were worthy to suffer

shame for His name.  And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and

preaching Jesus as the Christ.  Being beaten was the apostles' troubles; we find it caused them to not

cease preaching Christ as their opportunity.

In Acts 16:25-34, it tells how Paul and Silas were in jail (that is their trouble), and they praised

God, and were released.  In the long run, they saved the jailor as well as the jailor's whole household,

which was their opportunity to save souls through their trouble.

Then again in Acts 21:26-22:21 it tells of the arrest of Paul (Problem of  Paul)  and how he

teaches Christ to them (Paul's Opportunity).  So we can truly see how our troubles can be turned into

our opportunities!
