Our Freedom In The Lord
John 8:31-32
Those who hold true to Christ's teachings will be free from the death of sin.
For the resurrection, as we are told in I Corinthians 15, Christ, the first man, was raised from the dead.
By raising Christ from the dead, He gave us the freedom to live. Later on in verse 45, it says "that the
first man Adam became a living being, and the second a life-giving being." So if through life we have
death, we have life, then through life we have the liberty of the cross. This gives us freedom for all
eternity. Romans 6:5 states, "If we have been united with Him in death, we will certainly be united
with Him in His resurrection." For through the resurrection, we were free from sin, and if from sin,
then free in the Lord and fellow laborers in His righteousness. John 8:31-32 " To the Jews, who
believed Him, Jesus said, If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know
the truth, and the truth will set you free."
