The Peter Meijer Story

It was in Peter's senior year at Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) that

he met and married Cindy Lou Jesus.  Even though she was an anchor baby and did not speak English

very well.  Peter was not bothered by this for he had taken Spanish through all of high school, making

him bilingual.  Being bilingual he could carry on fluent conversations with her father, Pablo.  Peter

worked his way through college at the Louise Cafe (a widely known Republican Cafe).

Peter graduated from IUPUI with an I.T. degree, and a very pregnant wife.  There was financial

problems along the way, but Peter soon found a job in Paradise, Illinois.  He made five hundred

thousand dollars a year, making Spanish E-Bibles to be sent out of the country to poor speaking

Spanish countries where they were needed.  Peter did not care about the job too much, but at the

amount of money he was making who could complain?

Cindy had her first born in the Paradise Hills Hospital.  They named their first-born Louis

Edwards Meijer.  It was named after its grandfather and Uncle Edward.  For short they called him

Louy.  I might add that Louy was a noisy baby.  The three of them went to Paradise Haven church of

 Christ.

From time-to-time Peter spoke there.  With Peter, Cindy Lou, and their baby they made a

total of fifteen for services.  At times Peter was called on by their oversight evangelist (Whose name

was Laurel Compose [a bald southern man]) to speak at other congregations.  This; however, was on

very rare occasions.  Although Peter did not care for it to much, he would work on making Sundays,

and not go to church.

In his free time (which Peter had little of) he would try to win his neighbors over to Christ.  I

might add that he did win a few over to Christ along the way.  Peter had a strong will for the Lord, and

his Bible knowledge showed.  This was from his early upbringing in the church.  Especially from time

he spent with his grandfather, Louis Meijer.  Peter had family Bible hour, as a way of bringing his

children up in the Lord.  It was also a way of strengthening his love with Cindy.

His love for Cindy did grow too with her red hair waving in the wind.  Cindy became pregnant

for a second time when Louy was only three.  Cindy stayed off of her feet a lot due to the fact that

there was a lot of swelling brought on by the pregnancy.  Then at two A.M. on Tuesday morning the

phone rang with the news Cindy's father had passed away.  The news caused Cindy to have the

baby before the due date.  The child was named Pablo Christo Meijer after his grandfather.  Peter was

given a week off for the death of his wife's father.  Once Cindy had been released from the hospital

he and Cindy went back to Indianapolis for the funeral.

The currency of money had changed again so that now it had all been done through electronic

cards.  When Peter told his children the story of money later on, they just stood with their mouths

opened.  As Peter told it money began as salt, and then went to gold or silver, then to coins or paper,

then finally plastic.  Not only that, but now your currency had your name on it.

Everyone had one for their parents to put their allowance on it until they were old enough to

have a job of their own.  It would then be put in a bank for them as their parents use to do for them.

But it was ten percent of what Peter made so about five hundred dollars a child.  After Cindy Lou lost

her father she received two million dollars in American money.  Cindy Lou was crying at the lost of her

father.  Whenever someone would try to comfort her, she would just say, "she was crying due to the

fact that she would never hear his voice again."
