Rosa's Health Trip

Image
It was early morning in the flood state that Rosa lived in.  Rosa, a red hair chihuahua walked  with the aid of a walking stick (which has the figure of a human head on top of it).  Since it was chilly out Rosa put a shawl on, as she drank some cinnamon apple hot tea.           Rosa's boyfriend was named Prince Does Right.  Now Prince Does Right was a fawn colored  pug, and he was he was a wise and honest ruler of all the flood state.  As Prince listened to his  girlfriend Rosa, he drank a cup of coffee.  Then he tells Rosa to go see Dr. Bill, who is a wise ol' fox and should be able to take care of her aches and pains.            So, Rosa takes her walking stick, and walks off to her Volks Wagon (VW) Rabbit, and drives  off.  Her hip hurts her as she drives down the old gravel road at 35 MPH.  Rosa finally stops at a blue  painted sign that reads, "DR. BILL'S HEALING DEAL'S" Rosa frowns not being to impressed stating  to herself  "what kind

Happy With A Dog

Image
It was a clear sunny day in Topeka, Kansas.  I was going to get a dog at Topeka Animal Control (TAC).  In which I chose a plump, white, terrier to adopt and take home.  The TAC wanted to  make sure we were a match, and so they put the two of us in a room alone.               She was quiet, but every time I touched her hind area she would cry.  I felt something was wrong, but I figured she would calm down once I got her home.  I paid her adoption fee, and they  explained I would have to get her from the vets in a couple of weeks.  To which they asked which vet I  used.     I told them that I used the University Veterinarian Clinic (UVC).               They took the white, plump, terrier to the UVC to get her ovaries removed.  I soon got a call  from the TAC telling me, "They had to had to put the dog I chose down.  When the doctor went to go  in and remove her ovaries he found a tumor the size of a grapefruit.  While he could have removed the  tumor it was just che

The Replacement

Image
The Replacement              Philip Moneylover always thought he was Ed Moneylover's son.  The whole family accepted  the fact that he was a Moneylover as did all his closest friends.  There was also pictures of himself  when he was young at his parent and grandparents houses which he had seen.  Therefore there was no  reason to question his biological identity.             When his blood type did not match one time it was explained away.  Philip just shrugged things off the Moneylover's were his family, and they would always be around.  Philip just took this for  granted until one day when his parents moved away to be with his sister in Virginia.  He was left in  Indiana, and other than the church he was left all alone.                                     One day after Philip's Mother had died his Father told him to go find his own family.  Then he  was told to let his church family replace his family.  While Phil had done this his church family was  often busy with thei

The Festival

Image
The Festival              Though they called it the Pride Parade to Max it looked more like a festival of sorts.  Max went to the parade more as a way to support his friend Sabrina than for himself.  Then Sabrina just sat back in her chair looking on, gathering things from by passers. Max just looked on in shame for even being  there.             Max saw people young enough at the parade to still be in diapers, and old enough to be in  nursing homes.  Yet to his dismay he saw a man who's gender had been changed running around  without a shirt, showing off his breast.  Then there was also a overly fat man wearing only red  underwear on.  Even though Max thought that the police should have done something in both of these  cases they were just there for crowd control not to start a riot.             A fifteen year old caught Max off guard when he slapped him on top of the head.  Max told him, "I  know you were only playing, but you need to find someone closer to your own age to

The Door On Mars

Image
The Door On Mars                 The Curiosity Rover that NASA sent to Mars to take pictures of the red planet, sent back a picture of a small door (12 by 16 inches) on it.  The scientists felt that this was just a natural occurrence caused by a quake.  Sandy Hook, however felt strongly that this should be explored with human  explorers.  She went as far as to quote Carl Sagan by saying, "'Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.' and that something might just be behind that door."                To this her boss gave a thoughtful look, and ordered for a ship to be built resembling the ark  of  the Old Testament.  They therefore built a ship forty by forty cubits to be used in  outer space to go  to Mars and carry dogs, cats, and humans.  It would take approximately seven years to make it,  running off of atomic energy.  Captain Hook was told to bring youthful people to staff the ship with to reproduce it.  They said this due to the fact that by the t

My Early Life

Image
My Early Life  This   story is about my early life, and is dedicated to the dear souls that use to attend the congregation at Nowata  church of Christ.  A congregation which since the time of the writing of this story has disbanded.                  I spent my teen years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where I lived until about twenty.  We went  to a small congregation in Nowata, Oklahoma, which had no real leaders, but went by the patriarch  system.  Each male was given his chance at the pulpit, and if a visitor would come in they would be  given a chance at the pulpit.  It was due to this churches system of government and its size that I wanted to be an evangelist.                 My hours would be spent outlining the Bible, and writing letters to evangelist.  I would get  letters back telling me to "go to college so if it didn't work out I would still have a vocation to fall back  on."  Yet I would get others telling me to "move and put my membership under an eldership

Adoption of Thunder

Image
Adoption of  Thunder Approximately four years ago I adopted a Bichon Frise', and the following is the story of that adoption.              After the loss of my last dog Spirit, I went into a deep depression.  Doctor Kronos prescribed  for me to get a therapy dog long ago to help with my depression.  Spirit had fit the bill being a quiet  dog, but due to stomach cancer he had to be put to sleep.                I turned to a close, personal friend of mine to help me find another therapy dog.  My friend was  not sure if she could help me out since she lived in Martinsville, Indiana, and I lived in Indianapolis,  Indiana.    She gave me a call in May though saying I could get one at ICAN for only five dollars in the month of May.   I told her I could afford that, so we set up a date to go pick up the dog in May.              On May 25th, she came to my apartment to go pick out the dog (both of us being full of  excitement).   First of all, we went to Subway (which she paid for).  We ea

Explosion

Image
Explosion                We open this story up in the Sumer time, just south of Nowata, Oklahoma.  We find my  Grandmother Eccles & myself in a grey Oldsmobile arguing over whether we are going to listen to my music or not.  My Dad (Earl) tells me to put my headphones on so my grandparents can enjoy the  trip to Martinsville, Indiana, for a Two Week Bible Study.                They move through Kansas City, where a police officer steps out into the middle of the road stopping my father for speeding.  Dad explained that he was out of town and was just doing the speed that he saw posted.  The officer was understanding letting him off with a warning telling him to,  "watch  the speed limit when you are out of state."                                  Dad pulled off saying that he was watching the speed limit but there was too many signs to  determine which one was the speed limit sign.  He then drove down the road to Springfield, Illinois.  In  Springfield, Illinois, he sto

Lost At Two

Image
Lost At Two           Jane Brown was adopted at the age of two  years old still being in diapers.  She was adopted out  of the state of Illinois, into the state of Indiana.  She was raised with the belief that she was a Brown  living out in the country with a judge as a father.  So, she never had any money problems, and any  reason to believe she was anything, but a Brown.              When she got older, she was married, and working in a factory minding her own business.  It was towards the end of the working day when a message came over the loudspeaker that her sister was there.  Jane did not even know she had a sister, and she ran out of the building with her arms waving  in the air.  Once she got home she told her mother what had happened, who told her she had been  adopted, and that her real mother was a witch and her real father a drunk.  She was told to stay away  from her real family

He Is All Ours

Image
He Is All Ours Please note that this is a fictional story any and all likeness' to people or places therein are of pure coincidence.         The Anderson's had difficulty adopting since they were a same sex couple in their thirties.  Andy  so much wanted a son of his own, where as his husband Reginald just wanted to make Andy happy.   There was still the old school of thought that the only reason that people like the Anderson's wanted to have a child was to have sex with them.  Yet the reason for wanting a child in their family was to be  more of a complete family.  For without a child, they were missing out on something.             They went to an adoption agency who warned them of the misgivings they would be facing.   The agency did, however, do a thorough background check of the two men, and they turned out clean. Andy owned a bookstore in Wheat, Kansas, which was about an hour away from Kansas City.   Reginald on the other hand was a well-known author and psyc

Angels Are Among Us

Image
Angels Are Among Us               Patrick O'Reilly read the finest books, went to the best schools, and went to the fanciest  churches.  Yet Patrick still disbelieved in angels.  I'm not saying he disbelieved in God, because he did  believe in God.  He just did not believe in angels.  Whenever Patrick was asked why he did not believe  in angels he would just shrug and give the answer, "because I've never seen any".                  Then one stormy evening Patrick laid down on his bed and had a vision.  He saw in his  vision a celestial being claiming to be an angel.  Patrick had his doubts since he saw no wings or halo  on the being.   The angel was quick to point out that angels only had wings and/or halos in stories or  paintings made by men.                  The angel further explained that an angel could take on whatever shape humans found  easiest to perceive them in.  The angel told Patrick that it had appeared to him as a humanoid since  that was easiest
