He Is All Ours
Please note that this is a fictional story any and all likeness' to people

The Anderson's had difficulty adopting since they were a same sex couple in their thirties. Andy
so much wanted a son of his own, where as his husband Reginald just wanted to make Andy happy.
There was still the old school of thought that the only reason that people like the Anderson's wanted to
have a child was to have sex with them. Yet the reason for wanting a child in their family was to be
more of a complete family. For without a child, they were missing out on something.
They went to an adoption agency who warned them of the misgivings they would be facing.
The agency did, however, do a thorough background check of the two men, and they turned out clean.
Andy owned a bookstore in Wheat, Kansas, which was about an hour away from Kansas City.
Reginald on the other hand was a well-known author and psychologist. There was still some social
problems which Andy and Reginald had living in a small town being a same sex couple.
Then one afternoon Reginald's cell phone rang. It was the agency saying they had a twelve
year old male child ready for them to pick up at the Kansa City Mental Hospital if they wanted him.
The agency let Reginald know that the boy came with both mental and physical problems. They told
him he had depression, was suicidal, had a seizure disorder, a limp in one leg, and he has sexual
confusion. While Reginald did not see any problem with all of this since his insurance would cover the
medical expenses he would check with Andy first and see if it was okay with him.
Reginald set Andy down and told him that they had a boy waiting for them. Then he told
Andy that the boy was twelve years old, and had been rejected by his parents due to his sexual
orientation. After telling him that he told Andy that the child had both mental and physical problems.
Andy looked over at Reginald with concern in his eyes, and said, "Well, whatever they are
I'm sure we can deal with them. I mean no child is perfect, they all come with their own set of
problems. There is nothing so great that the two of us cannot handle it. "
Reginald was glad to hear that as he told Andy the child's list of problems. Andy just blew
his nose and dried his tears as he said, "Poor child when do we get him?"
Reginald smiled and said, "as soon as we get the paperwork done. Of course, you will
have to close the store down for a day so we can go to court and claim him."
On the next day was spent doing paperwork. On that day they learned more about their
son, and found out his name was Terry. They got pictures of Terry, and found out he liked to read.
This of course made Andy happy, and Terry also liked dogs which was good since they had a dog at
home. They made arrangements for his belongings to be brought to their ranch house in Wheat,
Kansas, about a block from the bookstore. The house set on the edge of town.
The next afternoon when Andy came home from work to fix lunch he found seven boxes l
lying on the ground addressed to Terrance Anderson. Andy just picked the boxes up and took them
inside some were heavy some were light. He then ate lunch, and phoned Andy letting him know about
the boxes. In which Reginald said they would take care of it when he got home.
Once Terry got home they took the boxes upstairs to what would be Terry's bedroom.
They then opened boxes up and started to put things away. In the heavier boxes they found books to
which Andy built a bookshelf for. In other boxes was clothes which they put in the antique dresser
which they had bought from the antique store in Kansas City, for this occasion. Other clothes they just
put in the closet hung up for they were dress clothes. Then they had found games they put in the
closet. After they had done that Andy asked when Terry would be home. To which Reginald kissed
him and said, "tomorrow, I'll pick him up on my way home from work."
The next day on Reginald's way home from work he took a detour across Kansas City,
Kansas to Kansas City, Missouri to go to Kansas City Mental Hospital and sign Terry out of services.
He then took him home, dressed up as all doctors are. Terry was dressed in a T-Shirt and shorts and
felt uncomfortable next to Dr, Anderson, he thought maybe he was dressed wrong. He asked Dr.
Anderson if doctors ever dressed casually. To which Reginald laughed and said," I just have not made
it home and cleaned up and changed yet".
Terry sighed and asked Reginald if he new where his new home would be. To this
Reginald just smiled and told him that he would make the Anderson household complete. He said,
"You now have two Dads, a dog, with a room of your own. Your other Dad owns the town bookstore,
where you will spend a lot of your time. You will also go to the public school which your Daddy will
enroll you in Monday."
Terry then asked if there was any cute guys in Wheat, Kansas, or was he just going to be
dumped in the middle of nowhere. Reginald explained there was quite a few cute guys in Wheat,
Kansas, but not to pursue them. He told Terry that they went to the Rose district of Kansas City on the
weekends, and to pursue someone then. Terry was not sure if he liked the idea of a home where you
had to hide your true identity.
When they did get home Terry carried Reginald out of the van and into the house. This
Terry found strange since he could walk for himself, he just walked with a limp. Once he was in the
house he looked for a bathroom for he had to go pee. He finally found the bathroom, but peed a little
bit in his underwear.
Terry soon meets his Daddy, who takes him into his room, and helps him change his
underwear. Terry sighs, and says, "I don't know if I'll like it here".
Andy just smiles and tells him that his Dad autographed his book for him, and he built
him the bookshelves for his books. He explained that they will only get the best for their angel.
For supper Reginald ordered Pizza for the three of them to eat. Andy gave a piece to
their Bichon Frise which made Terry giggle. They had Pizza and a coke to drink being a blissful
family of three. Andy hugs Terry and said, "He is all ours."
