The End for Thunder, Is Really Just His Beginning

       Like all old dogs, Thunder, one day decided to step down from the office of the President of the 

USA.  Some thought this was a wise choice, while others were sorry to see him go.  Thunder just felt 

that he had done everything he had set out to prove.  It was now time for the family, and him, to return 

to the Big Woods of Indiana.

       Upon returning Maxine would be able to sip tea, lemonade, coffee, or whatever the day called for

with the lady animals of the Big Woods.  As for Thunder he would go to the Good Old General Store to

chat with the old timers about whatever was on their mind.  As for Thunder Junior he stepped into his

Daddy's shoes, becoming a rich and famous therapist seen on Wednesdays on WPAW.  As for 

Lightning, he became the writer of the family.  So do not worry just because, Thunder stories do not 

come from the White House anymore, there will always be loads more of Thunder stories to write.

      Now as for Thunder Senior doing therapy, he was just a bit out of practice.  Thunder Junior was

more into the New Age type of psychology.  The type that said "if something isn't wrong with the 

person, find something to be wrong with them."  That is why Thunder Junior was on television on 

Wednesday.   If you had a problem, you could call it in in front of a live audience and he'd fix it.  If

you had no problem then buddy you should not have called him, because you would have one before 

you left his show.

       Stepping back from Thunder Junior.  It was really the best of times for Thunder & Maxine, since

 as before, they were not constantly in the public's eye.  At bedtime one night Thunder Whispered in 

Maxine's ear, "These are the days of our lives" To which Maxine Whispered back, "We've only just

begun to live."   Then the two curled up and went to sleep.

Thunder Goes On Vacation

               One morning Thunder wakes up, and tells Maxine that they are going to take a vacation back  to  his homelands in the Woods in Indiana.  Maxine just says, "that is fine dear, but, you should have  checked to see if I had a tea, or any diplomatic duties first."                Thunder just hoed and hummed as he got dressed.  He then told Maxine, "anything like that  could be rearranged.  Furthermore you will have tea at the Woods."                  As they were walking to breakfast Maxine rolled her eyes.  She then addressed Thunder in a loving fashion and said, "Well dear, I am glad you have it all thought out, but where ever will we stay? In The End

                                              Charles went to a funeral in present time.  He saw there a whole cast of  characters he had not seen in a long time.  He wondered if the church psychologist would be there, and she was not.  Instead, his friend, daffy, old, retired, psychologist, Doctor Donald Dawk was  there.  Doctor Dawk talked briefly to Charles.                                   The funeral, of course, was for the relatives of the Westend's.  Old Mr. West- end had passed away peacefully in his sleep at 101 years of age.  He left behind many survivors, which included a wife named Betty.   Mister Westend had served in Germany in World War II.  The family of course was given military honors.   ...
