Thunder & The Big City

                        One Sunday morning as Jimmy and Thunder was dressed up and ready to go to their separate 

churches.  Chucko (the ape) let them know that on that particular Sunday they would not be going to church.  

For they had to travel to New York City, to hold a meeting for the stockholders of Universal Pizza.  At which

 point Thunder started to whimper.

                         Thunder's Mother and Jimmy tried to comfort Thunder as Chucko gave him his chewable 

psych medication.   Thunder just said; "You all do not understand that in the big city they drive like wild, crazy,

animals.   I've heard tell that at times they even make a lane out of the sidewalk.   The difference with the crazy 

animals in NYC, and the ones I see in therapy, is the ones I see in therapy are under some type of control. 

 In New York City they are under know control."

                         Chucko just sighed and said, "Thunder don't worry leave the driving to me.  After all New 

York City is 100 miles away from here.  Then of course we will have to spend the night and freshen up at 

Stump Plaza.  It is there that the two of you will hold the meeting the following day at 10:00 A.M"

                         Thunder and Jimmy rolled their eyes, as Jimmy said, "Better get changed for a road trip.  Pack 

my dress clothes for tomorrow."

                            Thunder just did more whimpering as he packed his chew toys, and took off his tie for the 

following day.  He then sat down in his easy chair and watched the Yesterday show.  To learn all the news that

happened Yesterday that could change our day today.  He did this until Jimmy was changed and did not hear. 

anything about him, Jimmy, or Universal Pizza.  This made him feel safe enough to get into the car and go to 

New York City.

                            One hundred miles later they were bumper to bumper in New York City.  They were.

 creeping their way through the big apple trying to get to the Stump Plaza.  Once they were their Thunder,

Jimmy, & Chucko went up to their room in the sky. Thunder got dizzy when he looked out the window, so

he lied down and went to sleep until the next morning.  

                            The next morning, Thunder, Jimmy, and Chucko got up and showered and then had 

breakfast.  After breakfast they brushed their teeth, and got prepared for their ten O'clock meeting.  At the 

meeting Jimmy and Thunder each stood behind a podium.  In the meantime, Chucko stood at the side doing

 whatever they needed him to do.  After the meeting they got the press together and passed out a press

minutes in   which to brief the press with.  After which they gathered their things together, as Thunder took off 

his tie, and they drove home into the sunset.

I Will Not Forget You

                             Isaiah 49:15 says, ".... Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you." Strongs says the word forget here means to mislay, to behold, to advise, from want of memory or  attention not all, forget, cause to forget.                            Joshua 1:5 says, " I will not leave you nor forsake you"   Strong's says here, "Commit  self. fail, forsake, fortify, help, leave destitute, leave off, refuse,                             In Joshua 2414-28 Joshua gives the Children of Israel the choice over serving God or  serving false gods.  Even after Even after warning them they say they say they will be true to  God, but as we know not long after Joshua's death the Children of Israel turn from God and forget Him. Luke 22:32 "...Strengthen Your Brethren."

                   To strengthen your brethren means to build one another up.  We are told this in Hebrews.  3:13.    Which comes from the Greek word parakaleo, meaning to call near, invite, invoke, (by  imploration, exhortation, or consultation) beseech, call for, (be of good) comfort, desire, exhort,  (given) exhortation, entreat, pray.                 According to Thayer's it is to call to one's side, call for summon, indicating the purpose.   Which may be done in a way of exhortation, entreaty, comfort, instruction.  A good example of this  is what I hear that one of the brothers in the church does daily that I go to when he sends out the  scriptures through text to certain individual's phones.  This type of thing strengthens the brethren.                The way we exhort one another today is done differently than in times past.  In times past they would live in tribal communes and things would be done afoot.  Today it is all done by phone, e-mail,  or social media, as
