This Mess
In the beginning all things are as they are in the end. Our story takes place outside
of a small town named Nowata. The story begins in a huge white house, in a huge two-story
house which is separated by a large patio. On one side of the patio is the bedrooms, and on the
other side is the kitchen, dining room, and living room. On the outside of the house was a pasture
with cows in it. Inside of the house, however, lived three souls with warm hearts, they were: Grandpa
Mann, Granny Mann, and Alex Mann.
Alex Mann was the grandson of the Mann's who lived there to take care of his grandparents.
He did his best to keep their house clean even though it was an endless chore. Through all that
happened the three of them walked with God. Alex had the attributes of a saint and loved both humans
and animals alike.
One day shortly after breakfast, a big, fat man by the name of Stan Kooheeney came over to
the house. He constantly went on and on about how filthy the place looked for four hour's time. He
complained about the cockroaches and odor of the place, and anything else he could think of.
Grampa finally cocked his head to one side and said, "Maybe so, but you do not live here. So if
all you can do is criticize please leave."
Granny was sitting in her rocking chair, cross legged, when she burped as she took a drink of
her Diet Rite Cola (c). She then said, "I've heard enough either do something about it or leave." She
then turns to Alex and says, "Alex you will have to do the dishes my back hurts"
Alex did as he was told and did the dishes, but Stan kept up his complaining, so this time
Alex turned to him and told him that if he didn't shut up he was going to knock the stuffing out of him.
As the story goes Stan just kept it up, and eventually got the stuffing beat out of him. So they froze
Stan with all the stuffing, and that is what they had for thanksgiving. You see Stan turned out to be a
turkey, and they had the whole Mann family over for Thanksgiving Dinner. Granny Mann laughed as
she smiled and said, "I sure am glad you slapped the stuffing out of that turkey."
